MUNICIPALITY OF LITCHFIELD
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the undersigned Director General and Clerk-Treasurer of the Pontiac Regional County Municipality, pursuant to section 24 of the Fire Safety Act (CQLR, c. S-3.4), as follows:
On July 20, 2026, the Minister of Internal Security issued a certificate of compliance for MRC Pontiac’s Revised Fire Safety Cover Plan 2026-2036.
At its meeting held on 2026-08-20, the Council of MRC Pontiac adopted, without amendment, the Revised Fire Safety Cover Plan 2026-2036 and its implementation plan by resolution C.M. 2026-08-16.
The Revised Fire Safety Cover Plan 2026-2036 will come into force on October 1, 2026. From that date, it will be binding on the MRC Pontiac and the local municipalities concerned, subject to section 11 of the Fire Safety Act.
