The MRC Pontiac is proud to contribute $5,000 to Bouffe Pontiac’s 2023 Christmas basket campaign. The Council of Mayors approved this contribution at its regular meeting held on November 22.

This year, Bouffe Pontiac expects to distribute over 280 Christmas baskets to underprivileged families in our communities. This represents an increase of 50 baskets over last year.

“With the rising cost of living and inflation we’ve experienced this year, it was very important for the Council of Mayors to show its support for Bouffe Pontiac. Thanks to this contribution, our food bank will be able to provide all the food normally distributed, in addition to offering more baskets to families in need,” says Jane Toller, Warden of the MRC Pontiac. “The Council of Mayors would also like to thank all the volunteers and team at Bouffe Pontiac for their incredible work in our community!”

Bouffe Pontiac’s mission is to offer anyone in need access to healthy food and information to improve their quality of life. Those in need can contact or visit the organization to obtain more information on the services offered. The organization accepts food and monetary donations on an ongoing basis to ensure the continuity of its services.
