Watercourse Obstructions and Beaver Dams

Beavers and their dams are protected under the Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife. Any intervention that may disturb, destroy, or damage the beaver’s habitat or the beaver itself is prohibited unless authorization is obtained from the ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les Changements Climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP).
