The Quebec Government launched public consultations on mining activities. Two options are available:
- Filling in an online questionnaire and/or submitting a memoir by May 19, 2023
- Registering to a virtual exchange workshop by May 1, 2023 (the workshop for Outaouais is Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 6:30 PM)
The themes that will be covered are the following:
- Harmonisation of activities on the territory, social acceptability and predictability of mining activity;
- Governance, the mining regime and the way claims are granted;
- The supervision of mining activity for the protection of the environment and health;
- The impact of mining activities.
