The MRC Pontiac is proud to support festivals and events that make our territory vibrate and bring our communities together. True drivers of vitality and local pride, these initiatives contribute directly to the economic dynamism and influence of the Pontiac. Through the Regions and Rurality Fund (FRR2) – Territorial Development, ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation, an amount of $20,000 will be invested to support seven events in 2026. This support contributes to the attractiveness and development of tourism in the Pontiac, through three components: local events, expanding tourism events and structuring tourism events.

Component 1 – Local events
- Sheenboro Heritage – Irish Tea : $500
Component 2 – Tourism events or festivals
- Municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes – Island Fest : $1,000
- Parc des Chutes Coulonge – Festival of Lights : $1,750
- Phare Ouest – Festival international du Cinéma des Femmes du Pontiac : $1,750
Component 3 – Structuring tourism events or festivals
- Shawville Lions Club – Jamboree Country : 5 000 $
- Pontiac Agricultural Society – Shawville Fair : 5 000 $
- Festival Country Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield : 5 000 $
