Effective October 23rd, 8 a.m., fires in compliant outdoor fire pits equipped with a spark screen (closed or screened fire pits), used safely and under constant supervision, are now permitted throughout the MRC of Pontiac.
Reminder – Open burning is still prohibited: In accordance with MRC By-law 2021-271, open burning remains prohibited. Brush/debris fires, non-compliant burn barrels, and fireworks without a permit are still not allowed.
