The MRC of Pontiac is proud to announce that its AgriSaveur project has received the 2026
Municipal Leadership Award, presented by the Fédération québécoise des municipalités (FQM)
during its annual convention in Québec City. This distinction recognizes a project whose
innovative, collaborative, and transformative nature has made a significant contribution to
community development.
As the MRC Pontiac’s Signature Innovation Project, AgriSaveur was launched in 2023 to
strengthen regional food autonomy, support agricultural entrepreneurship, and encourage the
processing and marketing of local products. By providing producers and processors with
essential infrastructure directly within Pontiac, the project stimulates economic development
while creating greater value-added opportunities throughout the region.
More than an infrastructure project, AgriSaveur is the result of a regional collaboration that
brings together producers, entrepreneurs, organizations, and partners around a shared vision:
building a strong, sustainable, and innovative agri-food sector for the Pontiac.
The MRC Pontiac extends its sincere thanks to the Fédération québécoise des municipalités
and the Municipal Leadership Award jury for this valued recognition. It also wishes to
acknowledge the many partners who have contributed to AgriSaveur’s success. As the project
moves through its final stages toward completion, this award highlights the strength of regional
collaboration and the innovation potential found within our rural communities.
