It reviews, in particular, zoning and land-use bylaws, minor variance applications, requests related to the demolition of heritage buildings, as well as certain municipal decisions. In this capacity, the LUPAC fulfills a role similar to that of a municipal planning advisory committee (CCU) for the TNOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The term of the mandate is two years and may be renewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone with an interest in land use planning and community development is invited to submit their application. Candidates must be able to analyze documents, contribute thoughtfully to discussions, and participate in informed decision-making. No specific training is required; however, prior experience on a municipal CCU would be considered an asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Committee members are expected to prepare for meetings by reviewing materials in advance, participate in discussions in a constructive and respectful manner, and contribute to well-informed recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interested individuals are invited to submit their application to the attention of Alan Dabrowski, Land Use Planner, by providing a letter of interest outlining their motivation, relevant experience or interests, and the perspective they wish to bring.
