She shared these few thoughts as she announced her departure to her colleagues:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I am forever grateful not only for the privilege of working for the MRC Pontiac, but for having the opportunity to put programs and plans in place that will have tremendous impacts on the territory and the lives of our residents. As a resident and a parent to our next generation of Pontiacers, I take this opportunity to recognize the incredible talent and hard work of all of our employees, not only in the economic development department but in all departments that serve our territory with pride and professionalism.\u00a0 The future of the Pontiac is bright!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During her tenure with the MRC Pontiac, Ms. Phillips\u2019 many accomplishments included the drafting of the Vision 2030 strategic development plan, the launch of the new territorial marketing brand and campaign for the MRC, the installation of the Access Enterprise Qu\u00e9bec service, the establishment of \u2018entrepreneurship\u2019 as the signature innovation project for the county, as well as the drafting of the Vitalization Framework for stream 4 of the Regions and Rurality Fund. Among these many accomplishments, above all Cyndy was a great leader for her team and will be greatly missed by her coworkers at the MRC.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019Ms. Cyndy Phillips&#8217; tenure at the MRC Pontiac has been significant. Under her leadership, the economic development team has grown in both breadth and depth over the past two years. Ms. Phillips leaves a competent team fully capable of meeting the future development challenges of the Pontiac\u2019\u2019 expressed Bernard Roy, Director General of the MRC Pontiac.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2019It has been a great experience working with Cyndy Phillips, and her departure is a great loss for the MRC Pontiac. Cyndy has revamped our economic development department resulting in a strong team to move forward. We are so grateful for all the work that she accomplished at the MRC, and how she persevered accomplishing numerous projects at one time. Cyndy has truly been a great asset and I know that her heart is in the Pontiac. I wish her every success with her future endeavors\u2019\u2019 declared Jane Toller, Warden of the MRC Pontiac. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The hiring process is under way. For her part, Ms. Phillips is planning a smooth transition by making sure her files are in order and ready to be handed off to her successor when the time comes.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the staff and the Council of Mayors, we wish to thank Cyndy from the bottom of our hearts for her excellent work and the great collaboration she has developed between the MRC and our economic development partners.
