The Returning Officer annonces the beginning of the MRC Pontiac electoral campaing

This morning, the Returning Officer, Mr. Bernard Roy, announced the start of the electoral campaign of the MRC Pontiac.

For the first time in the history of the MRC, the citizens will vote for their Warden. Those interested in running for Warden must submitted their candidature at the Returning Officer’s office at the MRC Pontiac, 602, Route 301 Nord in Campbell’s Bay from September 22 to October 6, 2017.

The election office is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to noon and from 1 pm to 4 pm. Note that the office will be closed on the September 27, 28 and 29, 2017, and that Friday October 6, 2017, the office will be open from 8 am to 4:30 pm without interruption.

The election will be held November 5, 2017 from 10 am to 8 pm in the municipalities of the MRC. The advance polling day will be held on October 29, 2017 from noon to 8 pm.
