Funds for Major Events: Regional, National and International
Festivals and events considered under this policy are distinguished by the high visibility they bring to the Pontiac and the significant social and economic benefits they generate, as well as by their successful expansion of an existing event or festival.
- Local events or festivals – maximum that can be requested: $500: Total reserved for the year: $2,000.
- Growing tourism events or festivals – maximum application amount: $2,000: Total reserved for the year: $8,000.
- Structuring tourism events or festivals – maximum application amount: $5,000: Total reserved for the year: $10,000.
Applications will be processed twice a year, based on pre-determined deadlines.
Deadline 1: April 4th, 2023, by noon for events taking place between June 1 and December 31, 2023.
Deadline 2: November 14th, 2023, by noon for events that will take place between the period of January 1 to May 31, 2024.
