Territory Director, Régent Dugas, announced that the access road and boat ramp in Trout Bay at Dumont Lake are now open. In November 2015, the MRC Pontiac had authorized the closure of the road leading to the beach for environmental and public safety reasons at the community and municipality of Cayamant’s request (first responder to emergencies in the Lake Dumont sector).
The MRC had committed to provide an alternative access to the lake on the opposite shore in Trout Bay, which meant repairing 3 km of road, and building a new 100-meter access way and a boat ramp.
These works have been carried out at a cost of $ 35,000.
