Job Offer – Property Assessment Inspector

PROPERTY ASSESSMENT INSPECTOR

(Temporary and permanent positions)

Located in the Outaouais region, the MRC Pontiac is looking for candidates for 3 property assessment inspector positions.

Under the supervision of the general management, the incumbent of the position must carry out the work required to prepare and maintain the MRC’s assessment roll. To this end, they conduct physical inspections of residential and farm properties.

Responsibilities :

  • Collect the data required to assess residential and farm buildings while complying with the laws, regulations, manual, standards and procedures governing the field of property assessment;
  • Make and follow up on appointments;
  • Enter the information collected and draw the sketches in the computer system;
  • Collaboration with his team to complete the evaluation process.

Profile:

  • Enjoys working outdoors;
  • Structured and demonstrate excellent organizational skills;
  • Demonstrate rigour and meticulousness;
  • Ability to communicate verbally in French and English
  • Good customer service;
  • Excellent computer skills.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Real Estate Valuation Technology or Building Valuation OR an Attestation of College Studies (ACS) in Real Estate Valuation or Building Valuation OR any combination of training or experience deemed relevant and equivalent will be considered. Knowledge of building materials is an asset.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Demonstrate initiative and an interest in increasing one’s knowledge in the field of evaluation.
  • Knowing how to work in a team

Special requirements :

The incumbent of the position is required to use their vehicle and maintain it in good condition for the performance of their duties.
