“CAP SUR L’OUEST” ECONOMIC STUDY UNDERWAY

The study will document the economic and fiscal potential of the Pontiac and partnering MRCs over the next 20 years.

Campbell’s Bay, June 6, 2017—The MRC Pontiac, and its partners in the ‘’Cap sur l’Ouest’’ initiative, the MRC Vallée-de-la-Gatineau and the MRC Témiscamingue, have asked Mr Jean Matuszewski, consultant with E & B Data, to conduct a study. This week Mr Jean Matuszewski will visit the three territories to interview key business people across the main economic sectors.

The objective of this study is to valuate, in quantifiable terms, private investments over the next 20 years, to determine the impact on employment and the governments’ fiscal benefits and to demonstrate how they would profit from investing in economic tools promoting our regional emerging sectors.

The wardens of the three MRCs who created the “Cap sur l’Ouest” partnership, commissioned the study in March of this year.
